A Challenge

The hurts and stresses of our society continue to escalate. Loneliness, depression, stress, addictions, anxiety, grief, and problems of personal and family dysfunction cause pain, frustration, and feelings of hopelessness. Hurting people wonder if anyone cares or will help.

The Christian Counseling Center provides a safe, caring, competent and Christian counseling experience for hurting people.

Purpose

The Center is committed to provide professional, Christian counseling that is confidential and affordable. Our staff of counselors are active Christians who are committed to the use of Biblical / Faith principles in the counseling sessions. Each client’s faith will be respected.

Faith Statement

The directors and counseling staff are people of committed, Christian Faith. We believe that God is the Creator of the universe and Father of us all; that Jesus, His Son, is our avenue to God through His redemptive Gift; that the Holy Spirit is our comforter, and that the Bible is our guide for faith and living.

An understanding of and belief in these concepts informs the work and process of our counselors.

History

The Christian Counseling Center came into being in February of 1992 as a ministry of the Church of Christ in Friendswood. An open house was hosted in late August of 1992 to announce to the community the services of the center. The present office is located on the church campus at 2051 West Parkwood, Friendswood, Texas.
